Qualifications for World Equestrian Games 2018 will start on the first of January
We're already looking forward to the World Equestrian Games 2018 in Tryon, USA. The qualifications for this event for all the disciplines will start on the first of January 2017.

The qualification criteria for the dressage are not known yet. But we do know that there will be teams of four riders and four horses with a discard score. They expect that the criteria will be a minimum score of 64% on a CDI3* competition or higher. Every country will put requirements for their own riders also.

The Tryon - International Equestrian Center organizes every year about 40 competitions and started with the preparations for the World Equestrian Games. There will travel a total of 840 horses for all disciplines to America. For dressage there will be 90 horses in total, this means 10 less then in the previous edition in Normandy. But it's still a third more than the edition before that in Lexington 2010. Lexington was the first edition of the World Equestrian Games outside of Europe since the first edition in 1990. The world equestrian games are organized every four years.
