Together with his horse Clouzot de Lassus (by Ugano Sitte) he took home the golden medal after he left the second round with a total of 7.48 penalties behind his name. The silver medal went to Germany's Justine Tebbel and her Light Star (by Light On) with whom she finished with a total of 7.64 penalties. The brons medal went to British rider Amy Ingles and her Wishes (by Guidam) who finished with a total of 9.81 penalties.
In fourth place it was Dutch rider Kim Hoogenraat and her Caesar (by Ukato) with whom she finished with 14.6 penalties, followed by Belgium's Gilles Thomas and his Indiana vh Kapelhof (by Chatman) with whom he finished with 14.68 penalties.
