Patrice Delaveau crushes Longines Master dream of Deusser with Grand Prix win
In Hong Kong the Grand Prix of the CSI5* competition has just ended. This 1m60 class was ridden in two rounds. The best twelve combinations of the first round could come back for the all-deciding-finale. Daniel Deusser, who already won the Longines Masters Grand Prix of Paris, was one of them. If he also managed to win the Grand Pirx' of Hong Kong and New York, he could win the titel of Longines Master.

Deusser saddled his Cornet d'Amour (f. Cornet Obolensky) and rode a super fast round. This 15-year old grey crossed the finish line after 37,96 seconds. After Deussers round it seemed like he had won it, like no one could ever beat his time. But the unthinkable happened: Patrice Delaveau, who was the first rider to enter the show ring after Deusser, managed to go even faster. With is 13-year old Aquila HDC (f. Ovidius) under the saddle, he finished in 37,81 seconds. This time was also the winning time.

Max Kühner and Cielito Lindo 2 (f. Clarimo) rode faster then Deusser as well. They crossed the finish line in 37,88 seconds and ended on second place. In the end Deusser ended on third place.

The Australian rider Kermond and Yandoo Oaks Constellation (f. Conquistador) ended on fourth place. Michael Whitaker and Calisto Blue (f. Chacco Blue) took account of the fifth place.
