Guerdat speeded to victory with his 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood-mare, Hannah (Dulf vd Bisschop). The pair stopped the clock in 67,26 seconds. Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann came in close when stopping the clock at 67.63 seconds. The Sweden show jumping rider had to settle for a runner-up position with his 9-year-old Zangersheide gelding, Que Bueno de Hus Z (Que Guapo).
The stage was completed by Norway's Geir Gulliksen who guided his VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprico Bois Margot) into third place, leaving Anna Kellnerova in a fourth spot with Balguero (Balou du Rouet).
Dutch rider, Jur Vrieling completed the top five aboard his 11-year-old Zavall VDL-son, Davall.
