Showjumpers and eventers become N.O.P. on to road to Rio
The new foundation Dutch Olympic Horse has composed a team of four potential team horses for Rio 2016. Dutch Champion VDL Group Zidane, Emerald, Glock's Cognac Champblanc and eventing-horse, Concrex Bayro will now have a suffix N.O.P.

There is no surprise the NOP has put its eye on VDL Groep Zidane. The now 12-year-old gelding became last year's new show jumping Champion with rider, Leopold van Asten. The pair was also the best Dutch combination at the CHIO in Rotterdam and during the Nations Cup in Falsterbo, Sweden. Also Glock HPC Holding BV signed an accord for Glock's Cognac Champblanc. The grey gelding jumped to a fourth place at the CSI5* in Basel earlier this year. The pair also competed at the Las Vegas World Cup finals last year.

The 12-year-old approved stallion, Emerald will be Harrie Smolders first horse for next weeks FEI World Cup finales in Gothenburg. The pair collected many international successes.

The last new prospect is the eventer Concrex Bayro.  Concrex is one of the most talented young horses competing at the moment. With Tim Lips Concrex made his international fourstar debute last year.  To ensure Concrex won't be sold outside the Netherlands the N.O.P. has signed a contract with the owners of the 10-year-old gelding.
