Alan Wade Selected as Official Course Designer for 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series
Internationally acclaimed course designer Alan Wade has been selected as the official Course Designer for the newly-expanded 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series, which includes three prestigious show jumping events in Wellington, Florida this winter. The world’s best horses and riders will return to the magnificent Deeridge Farms to compete over Wade’s world-class courses at the Palm Beach Masters CSI4*-W featuring the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington; the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup of the United States of America; and the Deeridge Derby.

Wade, of Tipperary, Ireland, is an FEI Level 4 Course Designer and has been designing courses since he was a young boy. Wade hails from an equestrian family – his father, Tommy Wade, was a famed show jumping competitor, course designer, and show jumping Chef d’Equipe for Ireland. Wade has designed courses at some of the world’s most important competitions and championships including the 2017 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Omaha, Nebraska, and the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games™ (WEG) at Tryon, North Carolina.

Wade is highly respected by the world’s top riders. Two-time Olympic Gold medalist McLain Ward, the 2017 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Champion who also led the U.S. team to the Gold medal at the 2018 WEG, has described Wade as “a real horseman who understands the horses and really makes the riders think. He’s the best in the world!”

“We are absolutely thrilled that Alan Wade is joining us as our official Course Designer for the 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series,” said Lou Jacobs, who co-founded the series along with siblings Charlie Jacobs and Katie Robinson. “He is highly respected by the sport’s top riders all over the world and we couldn’t be happier to have him with us for our 2019 Series and our three highly important events.”
