First at the start in the Jump-Off was Dutch show jumping rider, Leopold van Asten. With one jumping fault aboard his 13-year-old VDL Groep Beauty (For Pleasure), Van Asten settled for a final sixth place. Belgium's Francois Mathy Jr was the first to set a clear round with the 11-year-old Numero-Uno-son, Uno de la Roque.
Eventually, last rider at the start, Christian Ahlmann secured the victory with his Caribis Z (Caritano). Lorenzo de Luca completed the stage in the saddle of the 17-year-old Armitages Boy (Armitage).
The top five coloured German as Daniel Deusser (Tobago Z) and Marcus Ehnning (Comme Il Faut) jumped into a fourth and fifth place.
