It's Harrie Smolders who ensured a first clear round this jump-off with his Don VHP Z. With the public on the edge of their seats he completed a careful calculated round in 42.32 seconds. It became a waiting game to see if his strategy would've paid off for a good result.

It's then Marcus Ehning who leaves it all out on the field aboard the beautiful Pret A Tout. The combination went full ahead and sped over the jumps in an amazing time of 38.41 seconds taking the lead in the field.

Steve Guerdat enters under loud applause in the arena aboard Albfuehren's Bianca. They go full on in attack modus and try their best to beat Ehning's time but finished just a little over with 38.86 seconds.

It was then Darragh Kenny who kept the excitement up till the last moment. He and his Balou du Reventon had some of the luck of the Irish on their side with a big loud touch on the first combination of the double jump. However everything kept in place and they finished in 39.38 seconds taking them to third place.

In the end it's Ehning who claims a brilliant victory with the Chambertin son Pret A Tout in 38.41 seconds. He went ahead of Steve Guerdat and Albfuehrens Bianca (Balou du Rouet) with whom he took the second place in 38.86 seconds. Irish rider Darragh Kenny claimed third place with Balou du Reventon (by Cornet Obolensky) in 39.38 seconds.

In fourth place for Belgium it was Pieter Devos with another clear round aboard Espoir (by Surcouf de Revel) in 39.89 seconds. World's current number one rider Harrie Smolders and Don VHP Z (by Diamant de Semilly) finished with a clear round in fifth place. Only the top five remained clear in this jump-off.
