Farlinger and Stanley Stone, who are no strangers to the Grand Prix ring at Caledon Equestrian Park (CEP), bested a starting field of 19 competitors for the win. The victory on Saturday (Aug. 4) was the pair's first Grand Prix triumph of the 2018 season at CEP, after lighting the ring on fire with three Grand Prix wins at the park in 2017. Hyde Moffat and Ariel Grange's Grafton came in just behind Farlinger and Stanley Stone, a 12-year-old Warmblood Gelding, for second place and the blue ribbon. Sam Pegg and Cayden de Coilly were third.
Neil Badcock and his mount Didgeeridoo, who placed fourth in Saturday's Grand Prix, were the big winners in Thursday's (Aug. 2) Open Welcome - presented by McKee-Pownall Equine Services. Badcock and Didgeeridoo held off Captain Canada, Ian Millar, riding Ariel Grange's Dixson for the win. Moffat and Grafton placed third in that class. Canadian Chris Jones served as course designer for both classes.
On Friday (Aug. 3), Miranda Travers-Cavill and her ride KT Levigno were top finishers in the $1,000 1.25m Jumper Stake - presented by Hansbo Sport. The pair beat out runners-up Ashlyn Trevelyan and Qairdam de Belheme, and third-place finishers Lancer Ashley Nevidomskis for the victory.

The Ontario Hunter-Jumper Asscociation (OHJA) held its annual Super Jumper Weekend at CEP Saturday and Sunday. The weekend event aims to offer "a Grand Prix-styled competition experience to junior and amateur riders."
The series featured Junior/Amateur jumper classes at 1.10m, 1.20m, 1.30m and 1.40, and this year saw the OHJA offer $10,000 in prize money. Caledon Equestrian Park match that amount for a total of $20,000 in prizes for the four classes.
Alexandra Millar and Vampyr van de Rib got things rolling with a win in the $5,500 Junior/Amateur 1.30m Stake on Saturday. Heat Wave 3E and Sierra Mark followed that up with the red ribbon in the $6,500 Junior/Amateur 1.40m Stake.
On Sunday, Rylee Poole-Kohli and Sedona, owned by Claire Gillies, were champions in the $3,500 Junior/Amateur 1.10m Stake. Alexandra Millar, this time riding Martha Younger's Usty des Dubois, won top prize in the $4,500 Junior/Amateur 1.20m Stake to close out the weekend's competition.
In the hunter ring on Saturday, Deborah Weir and Red October won the $1,500 LongRunThoroughbred Hunter Challenge - Presented by Schonberg Farm. This was the last qualifier for the LongRun Thoroughbred Hunter Challenge series, with the finals set for this Sunday during the Caledon Premier CSI2* at CEP.
The Caledon Premier CSI2* will see international FEI competition return to the park, with the $8,500 FEI Open Welcome on Friday (Aug. 10), followed Saturday by the $35,500 1.45m Palgrave Jumper Classic - Presented by RAM Equestrian.
On Sunday, the Grand Prix Ring will host the $50,000 FEI Grand Prix of Caledon -1.45m, presented by Pommies Cider Co. Also look out for the $3,000 Canadian Hunter Derby, presented by Exclusively Equine Gifts and Décor that day as well.
