Steve Guerdat is Switzerland's Rider of the Year

Yesterday Swiss show jumping rider, Steve Guerdat was crowned as Rider of the Year. At the international horse show in  Basel also the Swiss Team Trophy and Horse of the Year as well as owner of the Year was crowned.

The current world number one show jumping rider received the title 'Rider of the Year' for the second year in a row. Guerdat earned the title after ten clear rounds in Nations Cup competitions, a bronze medal at the FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon and also a second place in the Lyon Grand Prix.

The owner of Guerdat's Bianca (Balou du Rouet), Hofgut Abfüren won the title 'Owner of the Year' while Martin Fuchs' Clooney 51 (Cornet Obolensky) won the 'Horse of the Year' award.
